Acceptance of terms and conditions
Payment of your deposit (or any other amount) implies acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
We make best efforts to ensure all information on the Montemuse website is accurate at the time of publishing.
Payment terms and confirmation of booking
A 25% deposit secures your booking, payable by bank transfer on receipt of emailed invoice. The balance (plus a fully refundable £250 security deposit to cover damage and breakages) also payable by bank transfer on receipt of emailed invoice 30 days before your arrival date.
Security deposit refund
The security deposit of £250 will be refunded in full by bank transfer on return of all keys and satisfactory inspection of the property following your departure.
Check-in and check-out
Check-in is normally from 15.00 to ensure there is sufficient time to prepare the property following the departure of previous guests. Check-out is normally before 10.00. All keys provided on arrival must be returned before departure.
Cancellations and refunds
In the event of cancellation the following conditions apply:
- If we are able to re-let at the full price, your deposit and any balance you have paid (less credit card/bank charges) will be refunded in full.
- If we are able to re-let at a reduced price, your deposit and any balance you have paid (less credit card/bank charges) will be refunded pro rata.
- If you cancel more than 12 weeks before your arrival date and we are unable to re-let, a cancellation charge of 25% of the rental fee (plus credit card/bank charges) will be applied. Any balance you have paid (less credit card/bank charges) will be refunded in full.
- If you cancel less than 12 weeks before your arrival date and we are unable to re-let, the full price of your holiday will be treated as a non-returnable cancellation charge.
The owners may at times need to access the apartment for essential maintenance and cleaning. This will only be done by prior arrangement with guests.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the property. Guests are requested to refrain from smoking outside the property while close to any windows or doors.
We are unable to cater for pets at Montemuse.
The accommodation is only for the use of persons specified in the booking. While at Montemuse and on its grounds, you are responsible for your own safety and welfare. The safety and welfare of children and minors is at all times the sole responsibility of their parent(s) or guardian(s). Note that there are some steep areas and steps around the property and use of the grounds is at your own risk.
Montemuse and its owners are not liable for any loss, damage or injury to guests and we advise taking holiday insurance to cover such eventualities. No liability will be accepted for any loss, damage, expense, injury or inconvenience arising from any defects in the structure of the property, plumbing, electrical systems, gas, water or failure in the supply of utilities.
Guests are requested to keep the apartment clean and in good order, and to report any damage, breakage or loss as soon as practicable. The cost to remedy any loss or damage to the property or its fixtures/fittings is not limited to the amount of the Security Deposit and must be settled before departure.
If any problems arise during your stay please report them as soon as they occur so that we can deal with them as quickly as possible.
